Exploration is going to be a key element when developing this game. I purpose that cave systems, along with structures outside the world to hold rewarding treasures that are not easily obtained. We would have to face tricky puzzles and fight protectors in order to gain these treasures. The structures would have to each be unique in their own way, and to hold a variety of loot.

I endorse this, but I will say that I think caves should feel as natural as can be. So treasures inside them isnt a good idea.
However maybe have dungeons/underground templish structures that can be accessed through a cave system.

Absolutely agree. What I also think is an important factor is these treasures still holding interest in high-level or advanced players with most of the game’s items/weapons. Perhaps powerful bosses could guard extremely good treasures that only such players could defeat as Benjyboi had said.
Structures should also hold an important function, otherwise players will think they are neat but never go in them, that they need something there regularly to use or buy.

Cool ideas guys. There are already some pretty nice cave systems on some of the worlds. I believe that Dune world has some pretty extensive ones and that Fooks world doesn’t have any yet.
We want to have some ancient Oortian Temples and other structures dotted throughout the universe in the future. The Protectors and other surprises are likely to play a big role in their defence 😉

On structures I think using the different races that hopefully will be implemented it would be nice to have random villages (similar to Minecraft) which are race based dotted around with each race possibly have a specialisation eg the cool ram guys would be farmers so in the few dotted villages you could buy farming materials/tools and possible race side quest just small help this person or someone’s gone missing in a cave system/ dung please help so on. Just a nice idea to add to the game maybe. I love the ideas of temples by the way one thin that I’m loving so maybe a village or two could be based around these temples who still worship the long forgot on Titan/ god.

I know it’s been mentioned that there’ll be structures like temples and whatnot, but in my imagination that sounds all like it’s above ground. Otherwise it would’ve been more specifically mentioned I think. So now I’m left wondering: What would it look like if The Oort seeked refuge from the Titans under a mountain, for example?
Imagine a complex almost as wide as Durin’s Halls, where it’s a huge labyrinth of abandoned underground villages, now inhabited by all sorts of mobs, cobwebs everywhere, empty hallways and discarded goods.. Personally, I can’t wait to explore, raid and eventually own a piece of land in such an abandoned and forgotten city.
