      Has the option to increase/decrease the draw distance of fully rendered voxels using the [ & ] keys been removed? It hasn’t worked for me using either the Steam or browser versions for the last few updates.

      Think so – we’ve been moving things into the GUI Options panel and off magic key presses.

      What do you want to do with them?

      Quite simply make the game look prettier 😀

      I may not have a super computer, but it is capable of running the game comfortably after increasing the distance several notches.

      It would also make for nicer screenshots of things taken from a distance. I can’t remember what it was now, but there was something I wanted to capture and couldn’t because at the distance I was from it, all of the detail had been reduced to an unrecognisable state.

      I wouldn’t be against it being an option in the GUI but really liked having the ability to set it myself.

      Ok – as I suspected.

      We can easily add more options to amp up the quality. As you say – if someone wants to take a screen shot they will not mind if the game is running at 5 fps (or lower!)

      I’ve asked the Elves for some higher options and maybe even a “screenshot” option specifically for taking screenshots. Keep an eye out for this in the future.

      Btw – the elves have reported that whilst it’s simple to enable it will also add significant extra load on our servers. (This is because instead of streaming the lower LODs which are smaller – we’ll instead be streaming the higher LODs which are much bigger.) This isn’t a problem per se. But we’re currently investigating some other latency issues and this would work against that until the latency was resolved.

      There are other ways around this – for example doing much more caching of chunks locally. But this would require a little more work to enable. (But it would also help with the latency issues!)

      So – it’s coming – but the priority might be a little lower – don’t expect it tonight. But keep an eye open for it in a future release.

      That would make sense. There’s no rush for it…Monday will be fine ^_^

      Nah, it is more of a “would be nice” than “needs to have now”.
