A Few Issues/Questions; Both Programs

I just downloaded the game and World Generator just a few days ago and am having a few issues. It would be great if someone could help me out!

1. In the game I cannot place a few of the blocks (the red bouncy blocks and like 2 others). I see that others have had no problem.

2. The World Generator will let me save my world but the program totally freaks out and I have to exit when/if I try to load any saved worlds.

3. I kinda wasn’t paying attention when picking my in-game name; is there any way to change this now?

Okay well I was just in game and was placing the glowing blue blocks and then moved to a different area but now I cannot place these ones either…

The only time I have had problems with placing blocks it´s because I have pressed “R” and the block is in the wrong spot.

Thanks but I’m not pressing anything but the mouse at that point. I also discovered last night that if I log off and back on then I can place the blocks, sometimes that lasts the rest of my session and sometimes I have to re-log again.
