Dedicated Server Software

I know that you plan to “rent” servers in the future, but I’d also like to see a dedicated server software that can be downloaded by those who own the game and hosted on our own hardware.

Coming from Minecraft I like being able to choose my own hardware, and being a modder and programmer I see this being a better solution to making modding a possibility.

I’m a big supporter of this too.

I love the look of Oort and I’m sure it will turn into a great game. What I’m not keen on is being forced to play with the rest of the world.

I want to be able to host a dedicated server for my friends and family, and when the mood strikes, to play solo and undisturbed by others.

I love sandbox games – what I don’t love is seeing a landscape littered with random builds, giant wants, a mismatching hodgepodge of themes and styles and the general rubbish that comes with an open and anonymous multiplayer environment.
