Just like title says, have the option to disable chat in-game. I would like my 4, 6, 9, and 11 year old to play Oort vs Minecraft daily. They have lots of input on the games they play.
One thing though, if a player chooses to disable chat can you make it so other players know that option is disabled. I always feel compelled to say “Hi” or socialize with people in-game that want to chat and think it’s rude to ignore people. However, people who don’t want chat are not being rude so adding something to their name like asterisk at end of name, different color, underlined, or above their heads like a no chat symbol, etc.
