I hate to be pedantic (but as a Physics minor, specializing in Astronomy, I have to) I don’t see how the Sun (on Vaisier, at least) could be rising in the North and setting in the South. North and South are supposed to be the antipodes of the axis of rotation, meaning that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West (or vice-versa, there’s no preference).
@Zouls — well, anything might happen, but the thing is that North and South are conventions. I don’t have a problem with a planet rotating every which way–but there ain’t no East Pole.
It’s not so unusual in voxel games, minecraft was set up the same back in its alpha/beta days and did not get fixed till the sky dome got reworked. Current sky and sun/moon are currently place holders. Im sure they’ll set it right prior to 1.0 release. I have even heard they may have some worlds with multiple suns or moons or even planets that orbit gas giants(i dont recal if that last part was a fan statement or dev statement)
