Potential Solution
Try launching the game while in “big picture” mode on steam, this got around the problem for me and it downloaded the files just fine. But like I said before, this is just my PC being weird.
UPDATE: Recently discovered it is something to do with my PC, I believe it to be that it wouldn’t download the files needed to start the game, as no box came up in steam. I highly doubt that this is game’s fault however and I plan to play it on my laptop, sorry for the inconvenience.
Nope I don’t get that, I don’t even get a window open up. Just “click” and nothing happens. I’ve tried waiting for ages but nothing happens. It just, won’t launch.
Also, there is nothing resembling that file in C:\Temp
Same problem, paid for the game on steam (including the collector’s edition) and it won’t play.
It won’t even start.
I’ve relogged several times and reinstalled it twice. At first I thought it might be because my PC couldn’t handle but it is well within the boundaries of the system requirements.
