Dedicated Server Owners

It has come to my attention that this game will have Dedicated Servers, “But” now this is a big “but”, We are going to have to pay for this server, monthly to be in fact.
Now, The reasons why I got this game was to be able to run my own server, create my own mods and scripts for the server, come to find out, I don’t think this will be possible. To pay monthly and have all the freedom that other voxel games like minecraft has, I just don’t see that happening… Correct me if i’m wrong but I don’t think the mp server would last due to this reason.

I would love to see a standalone version for mp like minecraft, We download the files, run our own servers, do what we want and have fun doing it.

So what I’m asking is for a multiplayer setup like minecraft server.

SideNote: Yes, I know oorto is different from minecraft and we shouldn’t expect the same outcome but running servers like minecraft was a big hit, and this is one of the reason why minecraft became so popular, for the freedom of allowing users and owners to create their own server.

Oh, Well then, This topic was kinda pointless. I was just reading their Q/A and they didn’t mention this. All they mentioned was that we would have to pay a fine to run a server monthly.

Also, if they could add that to the “FAQ” http://prntscr.com/58ghry
I think that would bring more people back, Other than that, I have no other concerns or problems at the time being.
