A: We wanted more control over the funding of our game then you get on Kickstarter. We believe in this game, and are going to make it happen, so we didn’t want a one-off Kickstarter target and that’s it.

If you want to be involved in the development of the game, then you can be by buying one of our Pre-Alpha packages. We’re offering packages at various prices, and will use all the money raised to make Boundless the best it can be. We’ve been offering these packages since the middle of 2014, and we will continue offering them right up until launch. The group of players we’re building up during this process are involved in shaping the game and will go on to form the core of the game’s players at launch and beyond.
