This is neat!
Could you please tell me how did you clear the water from the lower decks?
LilemMemberHey guys, figured I’d drop by and introduce myself too!
My name’s Lilem, I’m from Moscow, Russia. My real name is Sattar. I’m 24 years old, I’m a psychologist by education, and I work in gamedev (started nearly 2 years ago, so still not much of an accomplishment). I absolutely love games, with a preferation for RPG and strategies. I’m currently spending my time in World of Warcraft (but it gets boring – again), Endless Legend, League of Legends – and now Oort Online. The server I’m currently playing on is Lemde (US server, got invited there by another player), but I’ve been exploring other servers too. I chose a more or less isolated location for my home, but I’m working on a nice road that leads there, so feel free to check it out. You can also see some screens of my home I’ve made here: http://imgur.com/a/4ZmyV
I found myself building deeper into the mountain island I chose, digging coridors and pathways, etc, and I’ve made decent progress 🙂I’d be glad to find new friends here, so feel free to visit me or add me in Steam (nickname is the same – Lilem).
Cheers!- This reply was modified 9 years, 11 months ago by Lilem.
LilemMemberIf I was that harpy, I’d struggle to fly upwards while being shot through with a grappling hook 😀
Anyways, seems like an interesting idea overall!December 29, 2014 at 3:17 pm in reply to: Release: 95 – Fix for blocks popping back in when added/removed #7178LilemMember@LigerZero:
I have high-speed internet connection that gets even faster at night. This is not connection-related issue, I believe. I didn’t experience this with any blocks except the leaves, though.LilemMemberLooks great!
LilemMemberI did read somewhere that you’ll be able claim a territory rich with resources (a crystal mountain for example) for youself and build a shop to sell it to other players, this seems like an interesting opportunity (especially if the amount of Beacons per player is limited and territory out of Beacon range will degrade to its original state).
As for the sizes, I think it’s interesting, but not THE most interesting feature that having different races suggests. Passive characteristics (maybe even hidden passives) sound truly promising to me, though — the penalty for staying away from water for too long for amphibious race that I stated above, for example. This suggests a whole different playstyle for this race, which revolves around being near the water most of the time, and promotes interesting solutions, like underwater towns, building aqueducts to make travelling across the continent possible, etc.
LilemMemberThis sounds nice, some avian creatures like Arakkoa can be interesting, especially if something like passive vulnerabilities/resistances is implemented for each race.
As for the races in general, I think implementing some not-so-obvious races could be cool. Amphibians is one of the races that I saw many players ask about, because it gives a unique opportunity to experience the world from another point of view (if they have a penalty for staying from the water for too long, that’d be even more cool). I think the main deal with races should be not just height/run speed differences, but more subtle ones, that affect gameplay in a less obvious but much more deep way.
December 28, 2014 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Release: 95 – Fix for blocks popping back in when added/removed #7150LilemMemberThis still occurs as of December 28. The block I experienced this issue with is one of the leaf blocks (the pink one).

LilemMemberVisited your village, when I entered the temple (I assume it is one?) with the tree and looked up, I was literally stunned. Great job!
LilemMemberThis is beyond awesome.
LilemMemberThis sounds really promising. Additionally, I think these domes could be built in other worlds (if you got ingredients to create them from the water world).
LilemMemberThis is neat! Sign me up!
LilemMemberWhy didn’t you contact the devs and ask for a Beacon for your home? There are mean people in any game, not just this one. If you handle them by quitting the game altogether, then you’re running away from the problem, not solving it.
Just repair your base (I’m sure you put a lot of work to build it) and ask the devs for a beacon. You can contact the devs on Twitter: https://twitter.com/OortOnline ; or via email: [email protected]
Just tell them your character name, the name of your World, and the coordinates of the center of location you want the Beacon to be placed in. You can check your coordinates by hitting “.” button while in-game.LilemMemberJust started playing yesterday and got invited to check out your server. These aircrafts certainly bring an explorative feeling, it’s awesome!
I didn’t see the inn you made yet, but I intend to find it 🙂
Keep up the good work!LilemMemberThis looks insane! I love it!
