Just seen on one of the other forums Rob one of the Wonderstruck crew has said it will be a one off payment with the option closer or with the finished game to pay from your own servers/world where you are in control so will not be subscription for game but I’m guessing a monthly fee if u wana rent a server

No it’s a one off payment for now. They haven’t released full details on when the game is released but they are hoping for full game end of next year and I’m hoping it will be subscription free. I have the £95 instants access now and would be very unsure I would play the game if it was subscription based. As we saw with the old republic game and wow losing people I think it’s clear subscription games are going out of fashion which is good for the gamers.
Instants access means you can play up until the official game is released and you also get the full game on release

I like the meteors idea it’s used in Terraria it drops in the area and changes the terrain creating creators etc and an influx of new resources.

This could work but it would have to be a larger period of time like a month. You would at least want to be able to find temples/caves systems/ dungeons and be able to explore with friends/guildies if it respawned in a small period of time u would not be able to recognise soundings in caves/dungs etc. I like the idea for the use of flags/beacons apart from the paying for up keep. I’m in the army so spend large periods of time away so would expect my beacon and building/base I’ve spent time and effort to build to stay In place for large periods of time 6 months or better indefinite.

Just another thing on trees I as have others are using the red foliage as roofing for my castle. It would be nice for the trees to grow back the foliage if the trunks are left in place.

I agree with the under sea level regen and if used with auto grow on trees it could work well together. I don’t know how any one else plays but on Minecraft If I fell a few trees I replant the saplings in the area meaning more trees would be growing so if players think about this then we shouldn’t have any major deforestation issues, it’s what is currently done excerpt they don’t take 20 years to grow.

Looking at all the choices and I want them all, I think crafting will have to be up there but so would beacons and character races!!!

I agree with what your saying but it was only by chance that I found out about Oort and I am backing them all the way now I am aware. Like anything with crowd funding the more money they get the more will be put into the game so taken with a pinch of salt if people don’t know about they can’t back it and therefore it gets less money and less features.

Yesterday I noticed one of the Yogscast crew has given the game ago.
Since I got my instant access yesterday I was 377 now up at 566 it’s flying up so hopefully word of mouth gets around I know they’ve made it so easy to tweet etc

That’s great news as I keep updated daily with Appygeek which is great for daily news etc, but this was the first time I have read about it, how long ago did IGN cover the story? Ort looks beautiful and I think it could be one if the greats given the chance but without the people knowing it won’t flourish. What else can be done? Even top youtubers playing it would increase the hype surely?
