ParticipantI like it! What world is this on? I’m working on a harbor city on Sedartas, about 1k east of the capital (also a ship) that you should check out! You may consider building a ship there later as well 😉

ParticipantTitles are updated manually, and have often taken a few days to change. If you don’t receive your title after a week, try emailing them.
Votes forms will be sent to the email you registered when buying the game when they are ready. No votes have been sent as of yet.

ParticipantIf the Oort forum would be hidden in one single Oort world and readable from an ingame menu it could turn out a mystical place or an object worth to be preserved (build a pyramid on top of it) or secure and transport it like in capture the flag.
This idea sounds awesome, Reminds me of the Black Library, a secret hidden place containing all the secrets of the universe… fans of 40k lore know what I’m talking about.

ParticipantAs an afterthought, it could be fun to see player governments try and deal with the regulation of these things in game. Do you opt for a passive “legalize anything” stance, or a hard-line ban on it all with police force against organized crime? It could be exciting to play either way!

ParticipantIt would not harm the function or design of the existing map to change the dot in the middle to a pointer, and if it adds clairity to some players, I see no reason not to.

ParticipantTraded for 10+ years on WoW. Always ended up in a capital city. Always ended up meeting the player face to face to exchange. Simple solution here is to have the global trade chat only active inside of beacon’d cities and zones on the same world. The most popular or relevant city would attract the most players to them (think Shattrath, Dalaran, Ogrimmar, etc.) Leave trade chat while inside beacons if you want. Outside of these zones, there would be no global chat.

ParticipantI for one think it’s not only a great idea, but necessary for effective global trade. Items can still require face to face transactions, but the communication over great distances is KEY to active trade. Without a global trade system players get isolated in small pockets only trading among a handful, maybe a dozen players. A global trade chat would give rise to sprawling trade hubs. If you need evidence or proof of concept, Early WoW trade was EXACTLY this, back when mailbox transaction times were longer. Hundreds of players went to capital cities just to make trades.
I’m not saying cross servers, or even truly global. Chat between beacons would accomplish this nicely. People would visit Beacon’d cities JUST to trade.

ParticipantCountered by ranged damage and “kiting” maneuvers. Pole arm type weapons also typically counter shield based attacks nicely thanks to the long reach. Flails work well to get around the shields defence. Just some typical counters that would balance such a fighting style.

ParticipantIt’s still important for players to be able to contact somebody a great distance away for trade and stuff. Like Wow’s trade chat, only usable in capital cities and can be turned off if you want. Perhaps even connect across servers within a region? Connect all the Capital cities in USWEST to one trade chat for example.

ParticipantIt may already be possible with the world creation tool… KARKO, I SUMMON THEE!

ParticipantYeah, I took one look at that wall of text and fled.

ParticipantYes, like zouls said, email the devs. This early in the games development, a lot of these things are handled manually and can take a few days to be implimented.
The Ga.me site is the browser version of the game and does not show up unless you register your account with WS and ask for it. The game does not show up before hand because it is an alpha-stage game and has not been fully released. It is available by request as a test platform.
Unless you are playing from a computer that you do not have steam on, I advise you stick with the steam client version, it has much better performance and fewer bugs.
