Perhaps some sort of community enforcement could be implemented to self police the servers? It would take a load off the devs and give the community something to help keep their worlds beautiful. I, for one, would hire a crew for such a task.

I did hear from the devs that they are working on an exe, but I’ve not heard anything about an offline mode. I’m not sure how I would feel about some sort of offline/online sync, but perhaps an offline creative mode planner so you can plan structures in a free build mode before you spend resources building it online?

What if the consequence for death was different depending on where you die? For example, let’s say there are four different types of zones, sanctuary, friendly, wilderness and hostile. Dying in a sanctuary either has no consequence or is impossible. Death in a friendly zone, like a friends town only drops a percent of your money on your character at the time. Death in wilderness drops all your inventory. Death in hostile territory like an enemies city or an Oort temple drops all your inventory and places a rebuff on you for a short duration.

That works, the forum is just a tad buggy it would seem.

The forum format keeps me from being able to see the entire video, it’s being cut in half. Had to get the video’s URL to view it. You may consider posting a link for other viewers to see it more easily 🙂

I can answer the fist question for you. The game currently pays like Minecraft with First person being default, and you can go into third person if you want.

I’m not sure where they’re going to take PvP in the future, but I am sure it will be very open world pvp, with perhaps a few sanctuaries.

Dev’s have said gravity and physics are planned features, with things like friction, bounce gravity to be added to the prototype version soon. Further physics may be added at a later time. (hopefully!)

The game is still in prototype phase, nowhere near ready for steam.

They are giving away free keys on streamers channels if they get over 100 viewers. As a crowd funded game, we should also help advertise this game via word of mouth and social media! Tweet away!

Sure, that would also help protect them from griefers, provided that a beacon was nearby.

I like the idea of npc shop keepers, so long as they keep to selling services that perhaps players can’t do themselves. This does two things, it keeps them from competing against player trades and it provides a gold sink to take money out of the economy to help fight inflation.

After thinking about the beacon maintenance cost, I love the idea! It provides further cost to keeping a large settlement and makes them vulnerable to attack if the cost is not paid. Eve online’s colossal battle comes to mind. It would also naturally provide a way to keep world’s from filling up with derelict cities.

Easy fix to keep them from doing that is to have animals with tools equipped remain stationary if no player is guiding them.

A great showcase piece, not my work, but damn impressive!

Wow, I gotta say, many of those are desktop background worthy! Wonderstruck, can we share some of these on social media, or is that a no-no?
