I’m going to make a post in the next couple of days that carefully explains the plans for servers, etc. So if you have any questions – ask them now here – and I’ll make sure to include answers where possible.

Because we depend on the .Net framework and as you report there isn’t a version available for XP.

The browser have more stable networking – if this is an improvement then we’ll have a better idea what to focus on.

JamesKeymasterSounds like it might be a memory leak – could you watch the Windows process monitor and see if the memory usage keeps going up??
We have fixed a few memory leaks recently that will be coming in the next update – hopefully one of these will resolve your issue.

We have a known issue with bad latency on OSX that, when triggered, can cause the game to stall badly. We’d really keen to get it fixed and will be looking into it as a priority. If you’re on OSX you’ll definitely hit this with your connection.

World name – Coordinates of the beacon (it’s centre) – your username
We’ll get them added.
JamesKeymasterOuch – could be expensive to render – especially the mirrors.
JamesKeymasterDo you have a firewall running? If so, it’s possible the firewall is restricting the game access to the Oort servers.
Can you try whitelisting the game or tweaking the firewall setting?
