What about player made quests. I can craft say a “quest board”
If players enter my world they can walk up to it an see any “quests” ive made.
Lets say I need a ton of stone, so I make a quest saying “I need 50 stone to build a house.”
Someone could come over accept it, then either go mine 50 stone and turn it in for gold and experience, or if they already had it on hand they could just turn it in right there.
Also one other thing. SAO is awesome. Ive only watched the first two episodes of the second season though. I need to catch up!
DasachiMemberSounds like a nice idea. When you say giant do you mean like giant in terms of how a real mole is or giant as in like Godzilla sized. lol
DasachiMemberQuestion about portals as well. Whats the shape of portals going to look like?
Are they all going to be a basic rectangle or shape or will I be able to craft a semi circular portal(make my stargate dreams come true.:D)
DasachiMemberI actually prefer the current system. Although I have some confusion over white wool.
As of now, it looks like an unnatural block, which makes sense, straight white wool off a sheep wouldnt be perfect looking.
Is there any plan to add a refine wool? or like carpet type block thats craft from wool?
Cause if Im going to make a room in my house out of wool, I dont want it to look “natural.”
DasachiMemberI was thinking having food be necessary for 2 things. One would be stamina. The more hungry you are, the shorter amount of time you can sprint, until being at highest hunger point(you need to eat right now!) will make it so you cant utilize the sprint.
The other thing would be stats taking a toll. The more hungry you are, the slower you mine, the slower you swing your sword, impacting damage you do.
At no point should it impact health. This is not a survival game, unless thats the route you want to take.
DasachiMemberYeah.
Rukio said something about having the insect race utilizes wings of some sort, so have them be able to jump 2 blocks high. When I think reptiles, I think land. Water is more amphibians.
So Reptiles could move faster over rough terrain, by say, making them auto move up 1 block spaces, instead of the player having to press jump. Not sure what other races will be available. I would like to see a wolf/canine type looking race. Their benefit could be something that has to do with hunting for food.
DasachiMemberId recommend something along the lines of losing a percentage of your items, like 10 or 20% and having items with durability take a percentage of damage same 10-20%
So if you had a stack of say 100 stone and died, youd respawn and have only 80 or 90.
I think it adds a toll, but not a large enough one to where Im like, well Im done with this game for a while. Everyone knows that feel, you are playing minecraft and youve got a ton of resources, then boom a creeper kills you. Well there goes my 8 diamonds, 32 iron ore, and loads of coal and stone i needed. *Rage quit*
Id prefer not losing anything, just needing to run back to where you were before is enough for me. Unless Im fine with just going another way.
DasachiMemberYeah I also think having different tiers of weapons and tools is necessary.
But let me mix and match. Say I only have enough iron to make a sword blade, but i have alot of stone laying around.
I could make 1 iron sword blade, 1 stone sword handle, and 1 stone sword binding.
This sword would have higher damage than a stone sword(because of the blade) but would have the same durability and swing speed(because of the handle and binding)
Not only would this affect the stats, but the look as well. Youd be able to see that the handle and binding were made of stone, and that the blade was made of iron.
Something to that extent is what I would recommend.
DasachiMemberI think needing to craft bags in order to hold more it a good idea. But it shouldnt be necessary.
I do like the idea of having bag types. Like a bag for dirt, sand, gravel, etc.
And when you mine those it automatically goes into that bag. Or a bag for ores and valuable resources that go into it when you mine them.DasachiMemberI like this idea. In the trailer they did say you can visit peoples worlds and view their cities shops etc.
I also think NPCs should be added into the game. Like you can build a house and a wandering traveler could come a buy the house from you and live in it. You could have your own city where you are the king and everyone living it in is an NPC, or players could too.
But I definitely think if this game is to be an MMO with some rpg elements, npcs should be added later on.
DasachiMemberI like the mountable creatures idea. Being able to tame something as a pet. Craft a saddle, then slap it on them.
DasachiMemberI endorse this. Underwater foliage is a must.
DasachiMemberGreat idea Grimoire. I like having weather actually affect things.
Also, tell Luca I said great job on the snow. Its gorgeous!
DasachiMemberTbh. I think UI should eventually become something the player can control.
Something in the options that allows them to move it around on the screen. Control the opacity of certain UI elements.
DasachiMemberNot sure if hunger is going to a be a thing in this game. But if it is, having bushes yield berries of some sort might be an interesting idea.
