well yes that is a problem but maybe it could be solved witch some crazy algorithms^^ and even if not the base idea would still be cool but your right it just isn’t right^^

Well even if combat would be implemented we would also need somethings to test it out on xD (do you want to be the test subject? ;P)

I’d love to see more animals in the game but I would like to have a possibility to interact with almost all of them. Stand on a worm? Splash (maybe not that dramatic) hold your torch into a mosquito swarm? burn them. Little things like that make the game even more alive.

It is a little bit one sided if you want to have almost no magic in a RPG. Yes it’s a sandbox game but why not have the “basic combat triangle”? Range, Melee, Magic. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. And they all have to craft their tools. But I see no problem why a mage shouldn’t craft with magic while the others craft something with their hands. It gives the game more choices and a diversity which will set it apart from just a sandbox game like Minecraft. Because it isn’t just a Minecraft clone it is Oort.

They are currently working on a stand-alone version of the game. Until the finish that you should probably use firefox as I have heard it works better with it.

I had the same idea today. Just more or less gravity would be cool. Even such a simple change would affect combat, building everything. But it could be difficult to implement.

The blueprints are a good solution but what do we do until they are implemented? The flagging of an area would be good as a bridgeover solution. We aren’t that many players at the moment anyway.

I like both ideas. The weekly worlds or maybe monthly worlds could also solve the ore respawn problem we discussed in other threads.

The Zone Status idea is great. It wouldn’t disturb the immersion too much and you’d still have the infos you need.

As far as I have understood the portal mechanics, there will just be links between 2 portals independent of position or anything.

You should definately watch SAO it’s great.
If we keep advertising this idea it might make it into the game. I would really like that.

I would second that but with increasing lvl (in smithing) the chance of getting the best stats should increase. That way a master smith would actually be more valuable than just a very good smith even if the can both forge every weapon in the game.

But the daily spawning titans should have the least rare loot and the less frequently they spawn the more rare the loot should be.
